What is a Turbulator and What is It Not?

Enhance Heat Transfer in Boilers with Turbulators, Boost Efficiency
We maximize your efficiency with the turbulators we use as standard in our Permak M series steam generators.
Turbulators are used in boiler applications to ensure that the smoke gas passing through the smoke pipes and the inner surfaces of the pipes come into contact more and accordingly to increase the heat transfer in the pipe and thus to ensure that a greater amount of the heat on the smoke gas passes to the water in the boiler and to increase efficiency by reducing the boiler smoke flow temperature. It provides benefits such as less fuel consumption for the same thermal capacity and optimizing the boiler capacity and efficiency.
Turbulators are the first and cheapest equipment to be applied to reduce chimney losses. Depending on the boiler flue gas outlet temperature and fuel type, an additional 2% to 4% efficiency increase is provided in boiler efficiency.
